Personal Mantra Joe Connector

What is YOUR Personal Mantra?

Today I get the awesome experience of having to exercise my patience and flexibility. Both need the exercise – badly.

Last night when going to bed, my beautiful wife just happened to mention to me that her personal yoga instructor was coming over today. I asked her what time – she said “7”. In the morning? I asked. Yes. Guess I should be thankful for the 9 hours notice – that and this opportunity to exercise my patience and flexibility.

It really doesn’t matter that the ‘yoga studio’ or space they were going to use is our living room, which is also my office and workout space – where I do my writing – and most of my workouts. It doesn’t really matter that today is Day 2 of my new schedule and I was planning to get up, write for an hour and then workout. It really doesn’t matter that Stacia knew a week ago that her yoga instructor was coming over and that she didn’t tell me earlier. What matters is that I get to gracefully practice my patience and flexibility – and with gratitude. And that as I think about writing my personal mantra, that I have the opportunity to include both PATIENCE and FLEXIBILITY.

Tony Robbins has used a personal mantra for many years to help him get focused and “into state” so that he can accomplish what he wants to. He also recommends that others to it as well. I’ve always thought that it was a good idea and helps positively program the mind – but I’ve never actually written one out – or used it.

I’m going to do a little more reading and research about personal mantras – and then I am going to craft my own and post it here on my blog at JoeKennedy.biz.

Do you have a personal mantra? Is it written down? Would you like to share it here?
